Watch how Island AI Protect turns shadow AI into something you can see and govern. You'll see how the Island management console shows active AI users, apps, prompts, and models, and how AI-generated insights flag cost spikes, rate limits, and sensitive data pasted into generative AI tools. You'll also see how Island tracks data moving through tool calls and the clipboard, and finds the MCP servers in use across your organization, including ones with known vulnerabilities.
Back in the Island management console, this is the visibility and enforcement available through the platform. Let's start with visibility.
In the world of AI, shadow AI has become a bigger problem than anyone expected because adoption of AI has outpaced the governance of AI. What we're looking at here in AI Protect are currently 784 active AI users across 153 applications. They've sent 404,000 prompts in the last 30 days.
Island generates telemetry about the interactions with AI. This is done with Island's own AI analysis, generating what's called an insight. Here, for example, we can see there are 20 users with sustained week-over-week AI cost growth, the incremental weekly cost increasing using AI. And here we can see there are some other users hitting API rate limits, preventing a user from making more requests for a period of time. And then here we have three users pasting sensitive information into a generative AI tool.
Data movement is visible too. These are how tool calls have allowed data to move between an application and AI. We can also look at clipboard movement, showing how data has moved into or out of AI, where people are copying data from, and where they're pasting it to.
Here is every AI application in use, the domain that was used, and the username. Here is model distribution, tool call usage by application, and detector groups, showing what types of data has been seen in AI transactions and what verdicts have been issued.
What's most interesting from a visibility perspective isn't just the user interactions. It's all of the agentic and MCP conversations as well. We can see here there are 339 MCP servers deployed and in use across Island. You can see those most used and those that have known vulnerabilities based on CVE scoring.
That's the kind of visibility and control Island brings to AI. To see more about how Island can help you secure AI use across your organization, visit island.io.
